In the US, men’s cosmetics over the past several years has been mostly limited to the metro crowd, the gay community and, of course, rock stars. But not for long.
As new men’s cosmetic lines – like our very own Men Pen – have been cropping up over the past few years, Asian men have been some of the first to embrace them. Men in the UK and select regions across Europe have welcomed cosmetics to some degree, but men’s cosmetics seem to have found a home in Asia – and no, we’re not only talking about the gay community. Men’s cosmetics are still an emerging market, so not much demographic data for the male cosmetics market is available yet, but a cloud of online chatter (and our own secret data) indicate that men in Asia and the Southeast Pacific aren’t letting social conservatism get in the way of a clear complexion.
